YEAR END RESULTS 2021/2022

Badisa Trio is extremely proud to release our 2021/2022 Annual Report.

This is the perfect place to read more about our service delivery statistics, audited financial statements, a special message from the chairperson of the board, and most of all stories of hope.

A message from the chairperson of the board

It is a privilege to deliver this message on behalf of the Governing Body of Badisa Trio.

Our offices are situated in Bellville, Kraaifontein, and Scottsdene. We serve the entire Bellville, Durbanville, Brackenfell, Kraaifontein, and Scottsdene areas.
According to feedback from the programs, there was an increase in the cases where children were involved. This is and will always be of great concern to us. We have dedicated staff who work hard to protect children and preserve families and I am very proud of them.

Staff turnover, however, remains a challenge. Finances are and will always be of great concern to us. For the 2020/21 year our income via subsidies from the State was R5 084 500 and for the 2021/22 year, R5 287 000. Our expenses for the two years were R5 772 500 for 2020/21 and R6 425 800 for 2021/22.

This reflects that the subsidies for 2020/2021 were 88% and for 2021/22 82% of our expenses. We are however glad to say that our donations increased by 14% from 2020/21 to 2021/22.

The buildings in which our offices are situated belong to GHBM and the Dutch Reformed Church. These buildings are old and need maintenance yearly. Some of this maintenance is for the account of Badisa Trio. I am glad to say that most of our electronic equipment is in good condition.

I conclude this message by saying thank you to the following:
• Our Lord Jesus Christ. Without Him, no program will ever succeed.
• Our staff members for their work under difficult conditions.
• My fellow board members. Without you, I would not survive
• Our volunteers. Thank you for your unselfish contribution to Badisa Trio.
• Our donors. Without your continuous financial support, we would not be able to render quality services to children and families in need.
• Karen and Annie for their support to our staff.

Thank you
Johnny Lourens
