Badisa Programmes Coming Together – The Message Was Clear: “You Are Loved and Valued”
What an incredible Youth Day celebration spent with our Badisa family at PlumRus during their heartwarming “One Hour for Jesus” gathering.
This special intergenerational event brought together programmes from the Badisa family, Badisa Trio and Plumrus, for a day filled with connection, faith, and joy. We received such a warm welcome and enjoyed a meaningful time of praise and worship, with even Kuumba, Badisa’s care ambassador, joining in!
It was a privilege for our social worker to share God’s Word and child protection stories with the elderly, reminding us all that every generation has wisdom, value, and a story to tell. The excitement continued when Kuumba made his appearance, bringing smiles, dancing, and plenty of hugs.
A special thank you to the Plumrus staff for their beautiful song and enthusiastic Kuumba dance. We loved seeing the residents dressed in green to celebrate Badisa’s Growth theme, while the staff added even more colour and joy with their bright outfits.
We were deeply touched by the overwhelming support for the Poppie Project, and the day ended on a special note as Kuumba visited residents in the frail care unit.
There was laughter, singing, dancing, praise and worship, tears of appreciation, and countless smiles throughout the day. I was really so special to connect with the residents and to hear all their stories!
When the Badisa family comes together, truly heartwarming moments happen.
